For the moment, I'll refrain from addressing the obvious flaw in you plan or questioning how the plan came about to begin with, and I'll ask instead how you intend to accomplish this.

Assuming they do--a large assumption, considering, but for the sake of argument I'm willing to suppose--your plan is still intrinsically flawed. Tell me, how was your target decided?

For my edification then, your plan is to announce your intentions to kidnap a lawyer on a community frequented by numerous law enforcement personnel; hope one of the few people that know the location is lawless enough to give you the information; go to said unknown location and make your way past any defenses I've managed to raise in the interim; take me off-planet, thereby cutting my access to my own bank account, the funds of which may be in a currency which doesn't exist on your world; then demand of me the ransom you arbitrarily decided on without any knowledge of how much money would have been at my disposal. Correct?
