I do not want to look at you for everything you remind me of, a girl, just a girl, only a girl who wanted to be loved. Even in lies, to herself and to others, she wanted only to be loved one way or another. I can not blame her for all that she'd been through, only a product of what God had dealt her. I can also not blame others for their reception, because her own loneliness and hate was reflected back at them. But you, born anew, in a brand new story, is something different, altogether precious, and ignorant of memory. You hold in your future a million new possibilities, something she did not have, and so you must forget me. That girl, back then depeneded on the only thing she had, but now you have him, someone who will love you more than that. So do not dwell or feel guilt over her, because she was only you defeated and hurt. You can't lose now, with him standing there with you, so take his hand and move on into this new
