Waaaaaaaaaaaaa
Hmmmmm..... It's been an interesting day
We got back from visiting friends yesterday ( actually day before looking at the time.... I cant sleep!).... it was lovely a time of escape and fellowship.
Our car then died today, it has been limping along for about 3 weeks I thought it was gonna explode on the way home from school I was terrified, so called in at the garage after picking the sprog up and picked a new one cos it's not worth mending the old one. Waaaaaa nooooo not a new car=debt again!
So it's been a tad stressy.
Then to top things off my friend at work confided in me tonight that she was violently raped some time ago ( years - not recent).... bomb shell or what..... she rang back later to check if i'm still talking to her????? Durr why wouldn't i? She thought she had said too much..... bless!She used to live in a Jewish community, a bit like some of our other friends did with christian community and after the rape the whole community fell apart cos they couldn't deal with her having been raped. Its so sad... she feels they rejected her, but really they were all just kids at uni n didn't know how to support her.
She is ace and is really struggling at work, she sees it as overtly christian even though it's not!. She is Jewish and is married to an irish catholic. Needless to say her family have disowned her...
Its wierd. I feel a strong link with her and we find ourselves supporting each other all the time through the shit life throws at you. Even having discussions about God n stuff even though she is an orthodox jew not messianic!
It's good to have a friendship on this kind of level again..... I've not had one for such a long time. I wonder where God is leading things...it would be lovely for her to get to know the son like she knows the father!! But that is not on my agenda..... just friendship!
