[Drabble] Spying on Sanada
"You slackers! Don't just sit down! Get up and run fifty laps!"
"Do a hundred more situps!"
"Five hundred more racket swings!"
"Buchou, I don't think it was a good idea to put her in charge of today's practice." said a seaweed-haired boy as he wiped his face.
"Well, she's in charge of the other members, not us." said a self-proclaimed tensai.
"It would be worst if she was in charge of us." muttered the young boy.
"Akaya! Fifty laps!" yelled the girl.
"WHAT!? Why do I have to!?"
The girl turned and glared daggers and the soon-to-be sushi. Akaya gulped and started running, afraid of being cut up.
"Rei, take a break." said the delicate buchou.
Rei sighed and sat down. "Well, I have to be strict if Sanada isn't going to be here... why is he not here again?"
"Hmm... he didn't really give an explanation for his absent."
"He has classroom duties today." said a professor as he popped out of nowhere.
"classroom duties don't take the entire practice, Yanagi."
"Maybe he's on a date?" asked the tensai while popping his green apple bubblegum.
The whole team stayed quiet for a minute then bursted into a laughter; even the well-known gentleman and Brazilian iron wall quietly laughed to themselves.
"That would be such a scary thought if Sanada went on a date with a girl; he doesn't seem like the type of man who will go out with just a normal girl." said Rei as she wiped away her tears.
"Hey! You wouldn't believe who I just saw leaving school with a girl!" said a voice from behind the group.
The team looked at eachother. "You don't think...." said the trickster.
"There's no way it could be...." added the iron wall.
"Who did you see?"
"Sanada-san from the tennis team!"
"No way!"
The team remained silent, soaking in the new bit of data. Then, Rei and Niou smirked simultaneously. "Whose up for some spying?" they both asked.
"Are you guys sure you heard correctly? Hearing goes as people age you know." muttered Akaya.
Rei glared at him and hit him on the head. "Quiet! We don't want to get caught! This is ultimate blackmail material; it'll add to my collection... umm I mean it's good data for Yanagi!"
"Yeah, sure." said Niou in a sacarastic tone.
"Shh! He'll heard us!" said Marui.
The whole team, minus Sanada, were clad in black, hiding in the bushes near a table that their fukubuchou was sitting at with this mysterious girl. Though, it took both Niou and Rei quite a while to convince the gentleman, Yagyuu, and the iron wall, Jackal, to come with them, but after Rei whispered some words into their ears, they just suddenly agreed to tag along. Maybe she does have something on them, but that's for a different story.
"Genichirou, this is a very nice place." said the girl.
"Aa." replied the emperor, Sanada.
Rei slapped her forehead in frustation. "Baka! Say something else!" she angrily whispered.
"If only we can get a better look at the girl...." said Yukimura.
"Yanagi, are you sure that you don't have an info on this girl?" asked Marui.
"I'm a hundred percent sure; I never saw this girl with Genichirou before."
"They're also on a first name bases; they must have been together for a while." said Niou.
"I find it kind of sad that the 'scary' emperor gets a girlfriend before any of you guys." expressed Rei.
"... this coming from the girl who can't even go near a boy." replied the whole team.
"'Cause you guys chase away any boy that comes near! Now, quiet; I can't hear."
"I see lips moving, but I can't hear anything." comment Yukimura. "We need someone to go in."
"I'll do it!" said Akaya as he literally jumped for the position.
Rei hit him on the head again. "We'll send in Niou; he's a master of disguise!"
"I think I'll need you to sweet-talk the waiters into letting me borrow their uniform, Rei."
Tsk. Rei looked around as saw a thrift store across from them. "Come on!" she ordered as she pulled Niou to the store.
"Aren't we going a bit out of the way?" asked Jackal.
"Aren't you interested in what Sanada's dream girl is like?" replied Yukimura with a question. Jackal kept quiet.
"Do I look okay?" asked Rei as she stepped out in a white, knee-length sundress and a white sunhat.
"You look okay." answered Niou as he fixed his black tie that went along with his casual suit look.
Rei glared. "You're not even looking."
"Don't have to."
"Then you pay for all of this."
Niou sighed, pulled out his card and gave it to her. "Let me put on my wig and glasses in peace, lady!"
She took the card with much glee and went to the counter.
Niou double checked his disguise and went up to Rei, hugged her from behind and gently kissed her cheek. "Hello, my darling." he said in english.
Rei rolled her eyes as the young store clerk started the blush. "Enough, Niou. There's really no acting involved in this role."
Niou chuckled. "Not even a little?"
"Nope. Anyways, you take too long to change." she said as she gave him back his card.
"Sorry, but wigs take a while to put on. I'm not like you; all you had to do was put on a dress and let your hair down."
"Oh well, let's go." she said as she fixed her hat, positioning in a way that no one can see her face and link her arms with Niou. Niou smirked and put on his sunglasses.
Together they left and walked to the restuarant. The team saw them and was in awe; they weren't able to able to recognized them at all, they just look like a normal couple.
"How about not stealing an uniform and just sitting near them?" whispered Rei.
"That takes the fun out of everything though." answered Niou.
"Better than getting kicked out."
"Good afternoon." bowed the waiter. "Table for two?"
"Yes, but do you mind giving us that nice little table right there?" asked Rei as she sweetly smile at the waiter.
He blushed. "Y-yes, ma'am. Right this way."
"Cheater." Niou whispered in her ear. Rei stuck out her tongue and sat down when the waiter pulled out her chair.
"What would you like?"
"Just two cups of ice tea." ordered Niou. The waiter bowed and left.
Rei took out her compact mirror and held it up so that she can see Sanada's face. Niou pulled his chair so that he's sitting next to her and place his arm around her so it won't look as obivous that he was looking at the mirror too.
"It's been a while still I'd been here. Thank you for taking me, Genichirou." said the mysterious girl.
Sanada gave her a small gentle smile. "It's my pleasure, Natsumi."
Rei and Niou looked at eachother. 'Did Sanada just smile?' they both thought.
"Here is your tea." said the waiter as he placed the two cups down. "Anything else?"
Rei closed her mirror. "Nothing for now."
"How long will you be staying?" asked Sanada.
"About a week or so, but then I'm going back to France." she replied.
"Aa."
"Don't be so sad, Genichirou! You know that you can always call me!"
"Aa."
"Ne, can I see you play tennis today? There's a court near buy, right?"
"There is." he said as he stood up.
Niou and Rei waited until they left to leave themselves. The group came up to them. "So?"
"Her name's Natsumi. She's from France and she's visiting for a week." said Rei.
"They're heading towards the tennis courts right now." added Niou.
"Also... we think we saw Sanada smile...."
"Really!? I think the's world's ending...." replied Marui.
"So... are we going?" asked Akaya.
"Of course we are! We'd been this far, we're going all the way!" grinned Rei.
Sanada was wiping the courts with his special move, Fuurinkainzanrai.
"Well, at least we know what the girl looks like." commented Rei. The girl was a bit older than Sanada, probably by a year or two. She has short black hair and violet eyes with peach-colored skin.
"She looks too pretty for Sanada's taste." said Marui.
"We don't know Sanada's taste though."
"I'm pretty sure that fukubuchou doesn't have any tastes." said Akaya.
All of the sudden a ball came from Sanada's direction and hit Akaya square on the head. "Come out already! We know that you'd followed us!"
"I guess we're busted." said Rei as she and the rest of the group slowly stood up.
Sanada stood there, glaring at them. "What are you doing following us!?"
"We wanted to see what your taste in girls were." said Niou.
"And see what you would do on a date and such." added Rei.
Sanada's eye twitched. "She's my cousin."
"COUSIN!?" exclaimed the whole group.
Natsumi stood up and bowed. "I'm Sanada Natsumi."
"Hehe... I see. All a big misunderstanding, right Yukimura?" nervous laughed Rei as she turned to her buchou only to see him gone, along with Yanagi, Yagyuu, and Jackal. 'Those bastards!'
"Well, I guess we'll be going then." said Akaya as the remaining slowly backed away.
"FIVE HUNDRED LAPS! NOW!" yelled Sanada.
"Yes, sir!" they replied and started running, afraid that the fukubuchou might kill them.
"Let's never do this again." said Rei and the rest agreed.
On the other hand....
"Was it really okay to leave them like that?" asked Jackal.
"They were the ones who dragged us along." smiled Yukimura.
"What Rei can do to us is much worst than what Genichirou could ever plan." commented Yanagi.
The group stopped walking and thought about this. Damn....
