Raccoons, field trip, and random interests

It doesn't feel like it has almost been two months since my last entry. :\ I guess I have been that busy.

Lately I've been a little nervous walking to the door late at night because there are at least 5 raccoons hanging around the house. Normally this would not disturb me because they have never really bothered us before. When we leave the cat door open, I see them in the washroom all the time. Or I generally don't see them outside even though I know they are there.

A few weeks ago, my sister got home a few minutes before I did. Three raccoons chased her through the yard and basically to the door. They stopped following her at the porch and ran up the tree that's between the house and garage. I didn't find this out until the next day, but it kind of disturbed me because I had just missed that.

These raccoons don't spook easily either. The other day they were going at the cat food that we have outside. My mom first snapped a picture of the one on the table eating the cat food, she then took a picture of two others, and then took yet another picture of the same one on the table. They had also tried to attack our dog when my youngest sister took her outside for a little while.

On Friday I went to the Getty Villa with my mythology class. Katrina is in that class so we hung out and I had a grand time with her. Especially during the drive home. I enjoyed looking at the many statues and pots and such. The first thing Katrina and I went to see just so happened to walk into was the Shrine of Hercules. It was grand looking and very well kept. Very little from it was missing and it wasn't too damaged.

The gardens were very lovely. Especially the one with the large fountain in the center. I loved the paintings on the walls that were around it of the play heads, had some pillars, and such. Unfortunately we didn't get to see everything and I had spotted the large bronze statues as we were headed out. >< I'll have to look for those next time, hopefully that wasn't in the temporary display room. In the room that had objects related to theater, I was most drawn to the chair they had in the center. I don't know why, but I seemed to like that piece best in the room. *Sigh* My mind is going blank on this topic...

I bought Ovid's Metamorphoses, which I hope to be able to get to sometime, but I don't picture it being anytime soon.

My baby sister is now a teenager! ;_; Eh.

I got to enjoy watching my parents play Donkey Kong for the first time in a while.

Newest Manga interests: Seimaden and Stray Little Devil
I finally bought Alichino and I still need to get Pet Shop of Horrors book 7.

Newest Anime interest: Angelic Layer (I seem to be in a cutesy mood right now)

No new band interest that I can think of.

Recently Bought Music: Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask soundtracks. Yay :3

Current Songs that I've liked: Animal I Have Become by Three Days Grace

Songs that get stuck in my head (because it's played on the radio too much) that I hate: Crazy Bitch by Buckcherry (oh god get it out get it out!)

Ahh nothing else I can think of now. Good night.
