You’ll be SHOCKED to learn I’m abnormal, I’m sure

I’ve always known I was a weirdo and I’ve always been fine with it. It has its advantages.

Right now, it means I got Weirdo Cancer with a mutation for which there’s a recent, but firmly established, targeted drug. This will be my first and thus far only treatment, and they’ve gone with that instead of the immunotherapy, to begin with, because the targeted drug tends to do better getting into the brain. Yes, that means I have some tumors there - tiny, tiny little things, lit up like delicate constellations on the MRI.

So, as soon as my insurance approves it (they will, but it’s a pricey drug so it takes a little longer), I’ll be on one pill/day and ... that’s it. There may be side effects but they’re nothing like chemotherapy.

life and stuff, fuck that i’m gonna live, cancer
