Why in the world did Wilson don an accent? Oh, I had to watch the rest of the scene from the other room, cringing in embarrassment.

But this fic is very lovely, and thank you for rewarding Wilson for his sweet heart.

I was baffled and horrified at the accent, too. I have no idea why he made that idiotic move, other than out of a very emotionally-driven thought that British = respectable and that this would help.

I cringed my way through it and imagine Wilson now cringes at every memory, and the memory keeps popping right back up.

It wouldn't surprise me if Dominika found Wilson attractive for his stupid sweetness (um, I sure do), and that was the thought that prompted this.

Just to give you a glimpse in fandom for non-native speakers, I didn't notice Wilson spoke with a British accent. I did find him much easier to understand, though :).

That accent was awful to this American ear! So fake! So grating! I don't even know if it was British or just weird-Wilson-fake-accent. If it was supposed to be British, I give Hugh Laurie HUGE KUDOS for making it through at least one take without laughing his head off. "Cheerio!" LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

It was SO BAD, wasn't it? So bad that it had to have been RSL playing it that way on purpose, and I wouldn't doubt Hugh actually coached him a little on How Not to Talk British. I would so love to see outtakes from that. You know there were some.

This was very sweet! What was that she was making, anyway? Baklava? Quiche? I'm suspicious of her claim that that's how she made $30,000 in Atlantic City, but whatever ;)
The Fox recap said that Wilson was "putting on the strangest accent", making me think it was deliberately bad.
