Catherine Ann Bartko Tate, age 68, of Fairchance, Pa., died Saturday, October 29, 2005, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa.
She was born March 29, 1937, in Fairchance, Pa., daughter of Michael Bartko and Mary Stanko Bartko.
Catherine attended the Haydentown Christian Church.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Carson Tate, two sons, Richard E. Tate and Scott Allen Tate, and two brothers, John Bartko and Joe Bartko.
Surviving are her children: Joyce Verbosky and husband Robert, Smithfield, Pa., Edward Tate and wife Debbie, Smithfield, Pa., Gerald Tate and wife Joan, Smithfield, Pa., and Chad Tate and wife Tonya, Fairchance, Pa.; and two grandchildren: Chasity Dawn Tate and Nathan Tate. Also surviving are her five sisters: Mary Bricker, Fairchance, Pa., Ann Walls, Fairchance, Pa., Marge Baird, Uniontown, Pa., Agnes Dolovacky, St. Petersburg, Florida, and Dorothy Walters, Connellsville, Pa.
Friends will be received in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 8 p.m. with Pastor Ken Walls officiating.
