So I got an email a couple of days ago about a particular phenomenon. The body of the email read as follows:
Subject: ONCE IN A LIFETIME
On Wednesday of next week,
at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00
in the morning,
the time and date will be
01:02:03 04/05/06.
That won't ever happen again
Couple of things. First off, this occurence really depends on how you right the date. "04/05/06" can indicate April 5th, but can also represent the 4th of May. Second, of course this if going to happen again! In one hundred years! Don't think the 21st century is the only one to have an '06!
Jon messaged me this evening about this. Amusing conversation ensued.
Jon: (quoting the email) "That won't ever happen again."
Sean: YES IT WILL!
Sean: I got a forward like that the other day
Sean: and my first thought was "Oh cool"
Sean: and then I realised that it'll happen again in a hundred years
Sean: maybe I should celebrate
Jon: It's cooler than my birthday anyway
Sean: dude, your birthday is at Christmas
Sean: I think Christmas is a whole lot cooler than this
