Someone asked me last week what my favorite matches won and lost were that I have played thus far. And to be honest I didn't have an answer. But I've been thinking about it and I have an answer. My favorite Match I ever won was I was playing Portland in 9th Grade @ 1st Singles and The first set I won in a tie breaker so it was a tough match and then between the first and second set somehow I decided I was going to win this match. It was that day that I learned how to make a plan and execute. This girl was no slouch and I the second set 6-3. I even fought threw my leg bleeding in that match. I had fallen on the court and I was so proud because I got back up and didn't complain about it. It was defiently a turning point in my tennis career. I can never really say I have a favorite match that I lost because it's me and I hate losing. But I guess I would ahve to say the Janelle Prisner match in the St. Johns Mint Festivel. I had never played so well in my life in a match. I still lost but I was doing everything right and I know that anyone who has ever taught me something about tennis or influenced me in some way with tennis would have been proud of me. Even Gus would have had a smile on his face if he saw that. And he is my toughest critic.
