[He's polite and looks like a guy you can trust, so when he takes one or two steps towards her it's with the clear intention to help out.]

I'm a little lost. Have you seen a man and a little girl go by? I seem to have gotten separated from my husband and daughter somehow.

No, I don't think I have. What are their names?

[He frowns slightly - Heather never did mention a mother, but there was probably a good reason for that. She doesn't look like a woman with an ulterior motive and he doubts she has any reason to lie, so he offers her a small smile.]

I think I know them. But I'm sorry to say I'm not very positive about their whereabouts right now. You might have noticed the world is a little unstable at the moment.

We're in Violet - right here. Ecruteak is normally five days over but the distances are acting a little funny today, so it shoudn't take more than an hour.
