I still alive too....
After reading Dani's lovely post and online will I thought I would just let people know that I am fine too... not that I need to write a will as Gemma should know that it still stands from when I went to the USA...
Anyway things a well I have just been away from home for a bit... my bathroom is being renovated at the moment so I living with my boy, Keith for this week... which has been nice...Also work hasd extended my contract for another month (does little dance of joy) So this may also lead to a full time job (keeps her fingers crossed)
So what else... I went to the O2 Festival... London - Mara Style has photos from this wonderful weekend and what has been happening in London and my trip aready...
So what else has been happening... While Keith was Glastonbury (which I think was too muddy for my liking) I decided to do a trip to Sweden... Last weekend was one of the most important holiday celebrations in Sweden, it was Midsummer... And that was the most amazing weekend ever... I went to Cecilia's Summer House near Norrtälje and it was brilliant... I got to see the sun set and then rise within an hour... Never have experienced that before... and I also got to experience two extreme weathers...
On the Saturday it was so wet and raining I was wearing layers of clothing and even need to borrow a jumper from Cecilia's sister... I also learned to play the national sport for Sweden (according to Cecilia) Yatzee... Managed to lose to the Swedes but beat the Frenchman... Then we played Swedish Trivial Pursuit... This was hard for me in two aspects... 1. The questions were in Swedish and 2. Alot of the questions were related to Swedish pop culture and environment... I say bring on the more Harry Potter questions... Anyway it was an enjoyable time of drinking and playing games and talking swegish (a cross between english and swedish)...
The Sunday was the complete opposite day... It was the most sunny and warm day I have experience since I have arrived over here... It was so beautiful that I actually got sunburned... for the first time in ages... And I was wishing that I could go swiming in the lake (not that I did as I had no bathers and the water was actually freezing cold... I know i stuck my feet in the water) It was really nice to see the area in the Sweden in sunshine... (considering that I knew that there was major rainpours in England.... I savoured the moment more)
When we drove back to Stockholm I actually got shown the sights by car... OMG the place is amazing and beautiful and I was awestruck... I love it... I want to go back and spend some time there...
