Ok, so I lied a bit.
But this girl was already inked and stretched on the board, so even though she is cute-ish, and there is a super fat fox in it, I worked on it.
Usually, with a super high definition scan, colour adjustment and a bit of messing about I can make the digital image look like the original. Or at least enough like it to feel like its a good representation. But with this image, it just isn't working. The colours are wrong and the transparent skin feeling and background splatteryness just get lost.

Truth be told, I usually do a tiny bit of digital surgery to my paintings after they are scanned. Move eyes a smidge, make heads smaller (hey, I like big heads!) I can see about ten things I would be tempted to tweak on this baby. But I am going to resist the urge because sometimes it gets muddy after so much messing about. And this one is too delicate to begin with.
