That is adorable! You make running out of gas look like fun! I hate to ask how much you spent on gas this trip.

I'm going to stay in total ignorance about that amount myself. Later I will just change it to denial... but we stopped for gas 26 times and the cheapest we paid was $3.09 in Oakley, Kansas. I think we figured the tank holds about 15.5 gallons (it would be in liters, since it's Canadian). There's the math... which I will not do. LOL

In all seriousness? Thank you for sharing this whole experience with us. To me this whole adventure of yours is something truly magical, and it gives me this weirdly wonderful sense of being a little thread picked up into the greater weave of fandom, and made into part of some greater whole. It just ...

I can't explain, but it's terribly awesome to me, and it makes me smile, and it makes my heart feel good to know this grand old truck and all its stories went into hands that will cherish and understand. It feels to me like a tried and true old horse that's been sold from a life of labor into a good home for its elder days. Yeah. Just like that. And those kind of endings touch my heart.

Sharing as much as I possibly can is what makes all the work worth it. We really, honestly, don't want to change it. We want it to stay John's Truck so that people can know it's still around... hopefully keeping John's memory alive.

Jensen misses Jeff and Dean misses John something terrible right now. I think the truck getting sold to a fan was a sore spot, like another piece gone missing, maybe. It made me sad for him a little. On the other hand, it might be helpful soon... shite. um. Yeah. Anyway. I'm trying not to worry about it.
