PART 10 CROSSROAD BLUES
Leaving is not the same as letting go.
This montage reminded me of Dean and Sam arguing about hustling for money during their first year back together again, and how Sam started it up after Dean died, probably in remembrance of him. It kinda makes me sad/happy/nostalgic/sit here with a stupid grin on my face.
*adores*
It might be really pretentious or awkward or something to be admitting this in a review, but I am here to tell you that if I owned that car, I would totally do all of those things as often as possible.
When
tahirire was here for the last two episodes, the weekend before the finale aired, we took John's Truck out for a ride and found a place to eat lunch. Then we parked, with the windows open to the afternoon breeze, hunkered down to talk, just like this... and we fell asleep... just like this, for over two hours.
It is possible... and not only is it possible, but it's memorable and it does something to your insides.
I don't recall them narrating this part, but it feels true of Dean. After he tried to do it different and fix everything between them, he still loses Sam in Detroit. What is he supposed to do now?
...waiting to get Dean the hell out of Detroit. The only problem - he had nowhere to go. He didn't have - never really had, for that matter, a home to go to. Worse, there was nothing and nobody left to hunt, or fight, or kill that could do a damn bit of difference.
