I'm lost. How are the last two earth and metal? The feathers would represent an air element, if anything. And then the blood is more earth than feathers... though I guess iron in blood makes it metal-ish.
"To Native peoples, ravens are considered birds of balance between man and nature. Almost all tribes have a legend about the raven explaining why he is black. In all of these legends the raven begins as a white bird whose color was changed either as a punishment for wrongdoing or because of danger undertaken in an effort to help man. This duality in the legends indicates the duality Native people feel about the raven. To some, the raven is a bad omen; to others, a good one." http://www.wolfcreekarts.
Ohhhh!! LOVE that lasst title card - hope they use it for the season ending - or maybe for a movie? Hmmmm...yes I hold such hopes, lol!!
I was always taught that the fifth element is Spirit - a combo of all elements to make a supreme more...THERE?...element. But yeah - this totally makes sense!! Imma save this puppy anyhoo!!
although before I clicked on the cut, I thought you'd say the fifth was something like spirit, since that's what I first knew of it as, but I like metal instead. And I think blood will represent a lot this season: their shared blood, the demon blood, possible angel blood, etc.

Raven is OF the earth and RIDES the wind to get where he is going. They also figure prominently in little god or Creator legends. http://www.symbolic-meanings.com/2007/11/15/symbolic-meaning-of-the-raven-in-native-american-indian-lore/
