Q: Does Sam think he can fix his relationship with Dean?
A: "He's a fatalist, like, he's worried that... Sam beats himself up and he is definitely worried. After he found out that he has demon blood in him and now he's starting to do things, because we learned about him drinking blood, and he thinks... I think Sam thinks that he has to sacrifice himself for the greater good and so I think he just kind of says to himself, you know, well I can't really do anything, I've messed up my relationship with my brother but, um, I'm gonna try to save the world in the process. So I think he's sort of, um, I think he'd have a hard time believing they can have their relationship back... but, what do y'all think? We get it back? (crowd gives a few whoops and hollers) Or do we fight? *butts his fists together* (crowd gets quiet again) ... *smiles* Boo for me!"
Q: Why is Sam drinking demon blood?
A: "I sort of knew that he was drinking blood but I didn't know how, like, I didn't know if it was like pouring it in a cup - a little smoothie or something - um *facepalms* - but I thought it was neat, I thought it was interesting. I think it was... I think it was fun to play, sort of, the need, um, because we kind of decided and discovered that Sam is an addict, you know, he's not a drug addict but I guess demon blood is the drug and so, in kind of researching drinking blood and what it does to you if you steal a person's soul... there's a lot of lore about... kind of about drinking blood and drinking another person's blood. So I thought it was great, I thought it was great for the storyline and I think - um - and as for something that I know *sing-song voice* that y'all don't is it comes into play real heavy within... why are you laughing? So, um, so I'm really happy about it."
