"It's fate. The righteous man that begins it is the only one who can finish it."
... "What does that mean?"
"I don't know."
"Bull!"
"They don't tell me much."
Aposiopesis: a sudden breaking off of what was being said or written so that the mind is more impressed by what is left unsaid, it being too wonderful, solemn or awful to verbalize. The 'sudden silence'.
'Poor' timing. It's always the 'worst time' because it's the last time we've had to deal with unanswered questions. (Ephesians 1:11; Philippians 2:13)
There is a time for everything. Sometimes we need to be silent, even when invited to speak. (Ecclesiastes 3:1,7)
We can choose it consciously or not, but the agent of change will appear regardless. If we do not wait for understanding, we will not complete our destiny. (Esther 4:13,14; Acts 1)
..."It's too big. Find someone else. It's not me."
Unreasonable expectation. Dreams never turn out to be what we wanted them to be. Unanswered questions create doubt about our ultimate significance -- faith in our destinies... (Isaiah 29:16)
You can't fret your way to victory. Worrying actively dissuades and denies us this certainty: that 'who knows?' is not a rhetorical question. (II Peter 2:9; Psalm 103:14)
Risky identification. Destiny is the relative boundary within which free will operates. You don't have to know or act on someone else's schedule. Ironically, time to overcome the self teaches free will: how to do the what that is your fate. The revelation of the person's destiny always demands a revelation of the person. Wherever you are given dominion (power, not to be confused with authority) is for the purpose of bringing you to your destiny. (Esther 4:11,16)
All revelations come by way of agents with no authority and great power. (Esther 4:4-14 & 7:9)
The unanswered question: Who knows. Something too big for words. There is as much purpose in secrets as there is in what is revealed. This is the call to have faith, to put trust in action, to believe in an end game for the why and the what and the how -- before it happens. (Jeremiah 29:11)
We will lose our strength when we wait on the thing, the person, the event, the miracle... that is depleting. Sit as a watchman upon the wall. Wait for the cue. (Habakkuk 2:3)
When it all falls apart is when it all comes together. All along the path and accompanying crises, when it's all said and done, when the expectation is beyond you, when you are at the crossroads and who knows? When you know? That's destiny. (Hebrews 2:14)
What is the most frequently repeated commandment in the Bible? Love your brother? no. Do not lie, cheat or steal? no. Sacrifice and do good works? no. It is this:
Do not be afraid. "Even now, the Lord longs to show you grace; he rises to show you compassion. For he is the dispenser of justice. Blessed are all those who wait on him." (Isaiah 30:18) ...
