No, I hadn't read that. But ... GUH.

How are we going to choose between Sam and DEEEEAN I choose Sam.

Kripke loves to present a paragon of good and then corrupt it. It's his twisty little mind game. That's really all I needed to start thinking this way.

the wonderful thing about not having any rules is that you can make them up as you go along.

And when Sam and Dean figure this out and get back on the same page, saying, "screw it all, we're doing this OUR way" -- that's when fandom the world just might implode. Or be saved. Or something else.

I keep coming back to this quote from Annabel Lee:

You're right; the angels have no free will and the demons have a perversion of it.
