I am enjoying everyone's pictures because he looks so shiny and not in need of lots of lots of lots of maintenance. LOL

It was a blast to see people smile.

Bwah, I was actually gonna comment on how shiny he looks, but I feared sounding like a teenage girl, all "SPARKLY SHINY OMG!!" :D But yes, he looks awesome. :) How many people do you think came to see him?

*shakes head* Dude, I have no idea. It was a small con, or so I've heard... under 1000. There were several guys walking around, asking to see under the hood, asking me questions about it and I was thinking, "Cool! Fanboys!" and then they'd go, "What is this from? People keep taking its picture..."

Were there guys at the con itself? I think at Eyecon I saw like half a dozen or so.

They are just massively underrepresented at cons in general... they are far from the majority in fandom, but I have four guy friends who watch the show, as does Aaron, but none of them ever express interest in going to events like that. It's a more of a "connect and network and gossip" kind of thing that most guys avoid, I guess.

It's interesting, though; I've been to Star Trek and general cons where most of the attendees were guys, so they do go to cons...just not to SPN cons, apparently. I do believe the male viewers are out there (my husband really likes the show, for one), but they don't go to the cons. Then again, online SPN fandom seems vastly female, so maybe the cons are just a reflection of that.
