This was actually written on March 31st. I forgot to post it.

It’s a shame that it is always only a few faculty who pull the weight and do the work but everyone gets the credit. While I don’t mind going the extra mile to do work that technically isn’t mine I really hate it when other people who don’t do their fair share get the credit for it. From my experience thus far at Webster it seems that this isn’t just true of SOE but, of the majority of Colleges, Schools and Departments at the University. Maybe I’m just being hyper creditcal of the people that I work with. Maybe this happens at other universities as well but, it really gets to me.

On a complety different note I was a victim of discrimination yesterday when I went shopping for a new office chair at office max. I had gone over to the furniture section to look at chairs and I wanted to get some information about a few of them because I’ve wanted a chair with good back support. As I was looking one of the African American sales girls kept giving me these dirty looks. I went up to the customer service desk to see if I could get some help and another sales person (whom was also African American got on the phone as I started to get closer the desk. I stood their for about 5 mins and she never even acknowdged my presence. Needless to say I left store totally disgusted and have decided never to return to that OfficeMax again.
