So when I worked at Mt. Kim, my boss had me sign a "non competition agreement" that said I wouldn't compete with Mt. Kim, which meant that I couldn't work at a school that was within a 5 mile radius, nor could I establish a school. Well, kinda forgot about that in my desperation to get another teaching job.
And so today I got a letter in the mail that said that I'm facing a fine of $10,000 for breaching the non-competition restriction. The choice is clear... but... man...
I gotta quit my new job because I got fired from my old one.
It still doesn't make sense in my head, and I don't think it will. Thing is, I don't really have a choice, now do I?
Welcome back to the unemployed, Instructor Mark.
PS: And damn, this isn't even the cause of the aforementioned summer funk. I think it's safe to say that this is now full-blown depression.
