1) Typical Low. Gets the greatest squad in the whole world and manages to put out the wrong lineup and then wastes time by not correcting until we are scrambling and down.
2) Klose is amazing. Howedes was so freaking awesome there are no words. It's not so much that he was an outstanding player per se, but that the rest weren't nearly at his level. Which is terrible.
3) RIGHT WHEN KLOSE SCORED I got a text message. The puppies were born today. She only had two reds and two people said they only wanted red and she remembered me say I mainly wanted to get a puppy, period. So on one hand - I was the first deposit and am totally entitled to what I want. On another, I really genuinely aren't going to be sad about getting a red corgi just so long as it's a corgi. And the black one has a spot in the middle of its head which I find unusual. And I can't help feeling like it's a good sign that they were born when they did because Klose is lucky so... here's hoping. I can't pick him up until August 1st.
4) No seriously though. I don't think Germany is going to win this thing. I will be happy if they can at least get to the quarters. But as far as I am concerned, Jogi Low has taken Germany as far as he can and has the unfortunate habit of being too clever by half and that is not going to change.
