Heroes night/The Next Day
Heroes night at Amy's place was much fun. Turned out to be a last minute potluck, so I quickly threw together some mac and cheese, which was quickly devoured (along with my dinner. Probably shouldn't have left it on the table. Stupid!)
The episode was sadly not up to Heroes standards. Horribly predictable and with insipid dialogue (Jeph Loeb, I'm looking in your direction). I'm finding myself becoming uninterested in a good deal of the characters. Kristen Bell's character feels like a one trick pony, Peter is "Oh poor me" again and Suresh is doing things to specifically piss off the audience. One thing I am happy about is that Matty Parkman can finally talk back to people using his mind. Took long enough. I'm looking forward to another, more even confrontation in the near future between him and his pop.
As for this morning, woke up far later than I planned. Not that it seems to matter. I get to work and everything is on the blink. Believe in signs? I'm starting to.
