As far as I know, a Windows emulator is not included on the Xubuntu Live CD, so it should not have been possible for Denny to launch a Windows program from within Xubuntu. He could have opened a "Windows" document from the hard-drive using a Xubuntu application however. From the Xubuntu Live CD he could not save to the hard-drive since it is entirely allocated for Windows, but he could have saved his document to a floppy disk (or better yet, a flashdrive). (If he had called me I could have told him that.) Since Windoze is dying on you, it is a better idea to write to a floppy anyway.
