Not All Vegetarians are the Same

Aug 27, 2004 13:32

Lacto-vegetarians do not eat any animal flesh, but do eat dairy products.

Ovo-vegetarians do not eat flesh or milk products, but do eat eggs.

Lacto-ovo-vegetarians do not eat flesh meats, but do eat eggs and dairy.

Semi-vegetarians do not eat beef, veal, pork, or similar meats, but do eat eggs, dairy, fish, and maybe chicken.

Vegans do not eat animal products at all, but rely only on plant-based foods.
reading this on goaskalice.com (great web site btw), so i guess right now i am a semi-veggie. over the summer while i was in israel i was a lacto-ovo-veggie.  i think when i move away to college i will go back to that, its so much easyer to do that when away from home.  my parents make it so hard on me.  oh well.
