TPD, SPD and now WLPD
I usually don’t write in this anymore except for huge events in my life and I would assume this would be one of them…
Earlier this year I was hired by Southfield PD and had since resigned in July for undisclosed reasons. All I will say is that if it was something bad, I would not have been presented the opportunity I have been presented with tomorrow. Since July, I have been working my ass off to get back into law enforcement. I was even offered a dispatch position even after I declined what would have been a conditional offer as an officer from that department.
Back in August, I was given a conditional offer from Westland PD. They had hired two people already and were looking for a third. When they finally got to me, they told me I would have to wait until January since the other two were already hired. Three weeks ago, I received a phone call from Westland informing me that I was all set to get sworn in on the 18th. I was also told that I was supposed to get hired in Hazel Park in January but this opportunity is much better. I have been told that I went from a good department (Southfield) to another good department (Westland). I am extremely lucky and am ready to work my ass off for this department. I have nothing bad to say about Southfield and look forward to take what I have learned from them and apply it to my new career.
I want to thank everyone for their support during the last year and I know my friends will help me get though everything I have worked for.
