A Job!
I haven't really mentioned it, but for the last 3 months I have been working for a temp agency. Now don't misundertand me here, I have no problems with temp agencies... they have done well by both JD and myself in the past and ain't doing to bad for me now.
The only real problem is that the current assignment I have been on has always been just that... a temp assignment. I knew it would eventually end, even if they did extend it twice (orginally was just going to be til July, then was extended to end of August, and Finally extended till the 12th of October). It has also been a great assignment. The company is great, and so are the people - you should have seen what they did to my cubical for my birthday when they found out it was my 40th. It was a laugh riot. I got some pictures, and if the scanner works I might post them.
Well, my supervisors have been so pleased that they passed my resume around the other departments. One of the other departments at another location (they have like 3 or 4 Office buildling locations plus their main plant here in St. Louis) like the recommandation plus my resume. I interview with them yesterday, and today I got the call from Kelly Services (the temp agency). The Monday following the 12th, I start at this other location. It will be a temp to hire assignement. Which means, while I will still be a "temp" employee after the required period of time they take me on at the company.
I am very excited, and this is a HUGE weight off my shoulders. A job... a steady job. WOOT!

In other news, I am attending this years ICC (Internation Camarilla Convocation) in Nashville. Well at least for Saturday. If any of my friends out there who read this will also be attending please let me know.
PS - the new World of Darkness rocks. Love the Vampire and the Changeling games a lot.
