The muse is upon me!
Many of you that know me personally will know that I have had an idea for a story kicking around in my head for some time now. I could never seem to get it onto paper though. I had bits and peices of scenes here and there plus the overal concept... but nothing was comeing together.
Well recently JD and I were talking, and we decided to work on the project together. These have led to discussions that have allowed the story to evolve into what it has become. My creative juices are also flowing now. My muse has returned!
In around 2 weeks we already have about 30 pages done. The way this is working is that I am writing scenes and parts as they come to me (as well as writing down notes for us both to refer to). Then as I fill in more and more of the story, JD writes parts that allow it to fill in. Also he is writing scenes he comes up with. It is working very well.
I am so very happy at the moment.
Anyhoo... the title of the book we are writing is "Second Coming: a divine comedy". I recently have discribed it as your typical God meets Goddess... God loses Goddess... Conniving Lord of the Underworld gets them back together story.
It has also been jokingly refered to as "My Big Book of Blasphemy".
I think if a publisher accepts the book, I will have them send preliminary copies to all the major Religious Fundementalist out there. I figure their outcry should catapult this baby to the top of the best seller list.
Now... as I talk about this (not in any great detail mind you) I would like those reading my LJ to keep these things in mind about this book:
1) It's a work of fiction
2) It's a comedy
