Vigil for the Hunter
Preparation
Cast a simple circle around the site chosen for the vigil. Light a bonfire.
Vigil
During the Vigil, there must always be one person with the Hunter present within them in the circle. Start the Vigil with a Priest or Priestess of a Hunter deity alone within the circle. That person will draw the Hunter into themselves and be the representative until another takes his place.
A Priestess will lead a procession to the circle bearing a meal for the Hunter. They will cross through the circle boundary through the doorway the Priest creates and leaves open.:
Dark Hunter Lord, we bring you the offerings of our Harvest. Eat and be well, in this dark time of the year.
We Welcome You.
After the offering is made, people may come or go from the circle as needed. There must always be one person as the God within the circle until morning.
