Proverbs 9
===Dear Lord,
Please allow me to focus on You this morning/evening. Please just take away all sins deep in my heart that may hinder the fellowship I have with You. Help this message to reach me where I am. Let me to be molded to better suited for Your work through the study of Your word.
Bless Your holy name! Amen===
It seems to me that the personification used in the passage depicts wisdom as quite purposeful and not at all self-serving. Wisdom speaks loud and proud by itself. Nobody has to say anything for her. She proclaims what she has is good because she knows that it is good.
At the other end of the spectrum foolishness is personified in a similar way. Foolishness from time to time can take on a pleasing looking form. Proclaiming the same things as wisdom, it lacks the purpose, passion, or hard work that wisdom had. Foolishness also holds the connotation as being lazy, too.
I feel that this illustrates that you have to work at wisdom. Wisdom isn't just automatic. You can't proclaim to be wise without being built up to be wise.
The middle section talks about how wisdom is built up and it seems to need an open ear, good guidance, and a shut mouth. Fools just are what they are. You can't really get around that.
--I suppose I can be more moldable and willing to work, hard if necessary.--

-I thank You for the many blessings You continually bestow. You've blessed me with wonderful room mates, wonderful friends, great family, awesome brothers and sisters in Christ.
-Help Melody be able to cope with her father, and maybe one day she'll turn to Your strength to help her fogive him.
-I pray that You continue Matt's air of contentedness as of late. Help him to not get caught up in the distraction of dating. Bless his future whichever way he chooses to go.
-I pray you'll bring Cedric, Chris, and Boyd back to Sunday school. Help them to realize How much more important you are than anything else in this world that You created.
-Give all my friends the ability to retain all the knowledge they need for their upcoming test.
-Please aid me in my studies as well.
