Way to go, Caesars!

Back home, in Seattle, we have a radio station called 107.7 The End. They're the local alternative rock station, which pretty much every teen listens to. Every summer, they hold Endfest, featuring the bands at the time. This year's lineup features Swedish band The Caesars.

The Caesars started in 2003, with the album 39 Minutes of Bliss (in an otherwise meaningless world). Being a smaller band, nobody really knew who the hell they were. I first heard their now hit song, Jerk It Out, on the SSX 3 (My favorite video game at the time) soundtrack. Naturally, I was hooked on the song. So I tracked it down and downloaded it, and rocked out to it frequently.

Time passed. Apple released the iPod Shuffle. And, hey, even Apple needs to advertise, right? So advertise they did. And they used the mentioned Jerk It Out as their song. And in these trying times, when Apple uses your song, you've made it, as we've seen with Jet's Are You Gonna Be My Girl?. So now, all you have to do is sing that catchy song, and people know what you're singing, provided they don't live under a TV-less rock.

So, as someone who listened to them pre-hype, I say: Take a bow, Caesars. You guys rock!
