Tony Farmer(Trigger Warning for Domestic Abuse)

Sorry for another dicusson post so soon this has been eating at me for a few days. What do y'all think of situation? Does he deserve 3 years or more or should he just get strict probabtion, a restraining order, community service, and counseling? Something imbetween?Miscarriage of justice or the entitled little shit got what he deserved?

My thoughts are under the cut.It's long sorry 

• My vindicative ass thinks he should have gotten more time.
• I don't care his future is "destroyed",  motherfucker should have thought of that before he put hands on his ex-girlfriend.
• I'm pissed at the people acting like he shouldn't got jail and complain that this will mess up his life. 
• They all seem to forget, that in broad daylight he went to ex-girlfriend's apartment lobby and attacked her for no damn reason. I guess maybe she because had the audacity to break up with him idk. 
• What's really telling is that she cowered and backed up as soon as she saw him, which probably means he'd done it before. 
• He dragged her out the apartment building to beat her some more, and tried to stop her from going back in hence the kidnapping charge.
• He then took her money, phone, and debit/credit cards which he then used. 5 bucks says it was his way of saying  I can do whatever I want to you
• In addition, he continued to send threats after she took out a restraining order and while he was waiting to go to court
• Not a once did he ever apologize to his ex-girlfriend Andrea Lane
• Do I think in some ways Tony Farmer was failed by his family and community, the fact that he collapsed on the ground in shock indicates nobody told his ass no.
• In addition, he had a long list people asking for mercy including the young woman he victimized.
• Now, perhaps she truly believes that he isn't bad person and wants leniency for him too
• My cyncial ass on the other hand thinks she was probably too scared to say otherwise, I wouldn't be shocked if he or  family and friends threatened her
• I'm super pissed that some people are determined to treat this guy like martyr and act he's a young kid who made horrible mistake. From what I see this shit was pretty damn deliberate. I don't think he should have been let off with a slap on a wrist. Yea Chris Brown was let off and he hasn't hit anybody....yet but he's shown no remorse for his actions
• I'm infuriated that the narrative has revolved all Tony Farmer and his punishment, his feelings, and his so called ruined life
• What about his ex-girlfriend Andrea Lane, what about her future, her feelings and her life? Is she really safe? How can she be when so many people are willing to coddle her abuser? I am so sick and tired of black girls and women treated like they don't matter and god forbid somebody gets punished for hurting, abusing, and damaging us.
