Uhm, Kanye West being a little more subtle as he dissed Katy Perry (and accepted the award with her!) was just hilarious because it went straight over her head. But yeah, she didn't deserve to win that award in that category against those other artists.

And... Chris Brown needs to not be doing a Janet Jackson with the fake microphone action. If you want to do a dance performance, just dance. We don't need to think you're singing, sir.

And... there was something else. Oh yes, Jessy J and that bedazzled boot and... singing "Scrubs" way off key. Stop it!

Oh... Adele = three thousand types of awesome.

Obviously didn't watch it being where I am, but was Beyonce as annoying as that gif makes her out to be? lol.

Why is there even a Britney tribute? Because it's been 10 years? -_-

Glad to see Adele get some love...did she win anythin

I didn't think so. Fast forward to the end. Watching Jay & Kanye's reactions were so cute.

Just saw the Britney and Gaga photo...is it just me or does Stefani Germanotta look better as a dude than a chick?

I am a little surprised that Beyonce would make such a public pregnancy announcement on Stunt City, er, MTV of all places. The cynical part of me thinks it's because she wants to drum up publicity for an album that's not doing as well as expected. But watching Jay-Z afterward is just precious.

Beyonce doesn't need to drum up sales for albums. She could literally make flops from here on out and still be completely fine because people see her in concert both in the U.S. and abroad.

I like the fact that Beyonce made the announcement at the VMAs. She's obviously pregnant and she was going to perform that night. People were going to speculate about it. This was the best way for her to maintain control of the situation instead of keeping it a secret or announcing it through a publicist, which she said she didn't want to do. I mean it's the VMAs. She came out like she would with her friends: "OMG I'm pregnant guys, isn't this awesome?"

IA on both accounts. Beyonce is nothing if not in control of her public image and pre-empting everyone else by announcing it this way is totally in character.

Agreed.

Plus, the album has been certified platinum and far outdid her two biggest competitors in Europe and here during and and after release week [Adele and Gaga]. The lady is unstoppable.

Lady Gaga is so goddamn annoying. I really wish I could like her because I'm really into the concept of a pop star who never breaks character and is really invested in being a superhero in a meticulous, calculated sense. But I can't stand her. I hated Marilyn Manson for similar reasons back in the day with every beat of my heart but if I could trade Gaga for him at his most annoying, I would do so post haste.

I love theatrics a lot but she's really every annoying theater kid/acting student I've ever had the misfortune to know.

I enjoyed, "I'd like to not only thank God... but Jesus."

He just wanted to make sure y'all knew. Cause anybody can thank a generic god. But praise white Jesus!
