Yeah, it's the image. Whatever he did to get her to stay, he paid heavily for... If she had left before the trial then his claims of innocence couldn't have held what little water it did.
He's likely gonna be brought up on perjury charges because of this and subsequently resign/be recalled... So I don't think that marriage is gonna last much longer. This was so big that his momma had to fly back from DC last night!
exactly. He's the mayor. He could have gotten an untraceable cell or two. The thing that gets me is that he knew proof that he was lying was on a city issued pager and decided to lie in court anyway.
