Came back from doing a program today--Animals in Art--I tlike that program because its easy to teach and I am basically just modeling the animals for the students to draw, plus today I had Alex the Red Tailed Hawk--love him!
Anyway, I came back and I found out one of the Okapis died and I have the opportunity to help necropsy/skin it for biofacts. Now this may sound incredibly gross toyou but I think it is fascinating. I enjoy necropsys--they are sooooo informative. And for those that don't know what an Okapi is think of it as the spare parts animal. It is a large hoofstock that is chocolate brown, it is related to the giraffe and has a 15 inch tongue, it has ears like a mule, and has the but end of a zebra. Fascinating animals.
Braces are coming along. I am supposedly in the final stages but the Orthodontist can't/won't seem to tell me how much longer.
Still haven't printed any photos from Costa Rica. They are all still stored on my camera. Although did find out the other day that I can hook my camera up to the TV and veiw my photos that way. Man I love digital cameras!
