I actually have no clue but I'm not following very many people on my new Twitter at all and I haven't noticed much live tweeting outside of the Olymics which I just kind of scroll by without reading. >.>
But yeah I have noticed people tweeting about the Olympucs especially and not using tags and it annoys me because I've tried to filter that stuff out so I don't miss tweets I actually give fucks about!

Yeah, and I saw stuff unintentionally because I was trying to read the rest of my feed. I've had the hashtags muted since the Olympics started though, and anytime I've tweeted about them, I've used the tags. Mistakes happen, of course, but these people just didn't give a fuck.
I'm going through this all over again with Teen Wolf. HASHTAGS. HASHTAGS OR PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS OR I MIGHT JUST UNFOLLOW YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE RUINING THINGS FOR ME>

I have lists set up, at least, which helps to filter some people out but I swear to glob it is SO ANNOYING to not be able to scroll through my own feed without worrying I'm going to see something ugh.
There are instances where it's the same 4 people and I could probably reduce my feed by half just by unfollowing ONE of them but then it comes down to which of them I'd miss the least and FUCK WHY IS IT SO COMPLICATED.

THIS X INFINITY! I follow people because I LIKE THEM and I care what they're saying, even if I don't have anything to say in return. It's fucked that you can't even scroll through your feed for fear something will be ruined.
That's how it was with me, the same little group of people doing it, and then they just unfollowed me because omg I complained >:| And yeah, you can mute them entirely, but then it's just the same as unfollowing them and it's like....shouldn't have to do that.
My thing with muting, though, is that even if I mute x if y talks to x I will still see y's tweet to x and that won't go away unless I unfollow OR unless I just mute EVERYONE ughj
Yes, exactly, that's why muting isn't really an option unless people use the damn hashtags. To mute people, you have to mute everyone bc of conversational replies. Like, lol, that tweet last night, that you only saw part of? I coudn't even see it myself, on my own timeline, because I had that tag muted. THAT'S HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO WORK~ but people are rude and inconsiderate.
I've seen people have the same attitude about tv shows and it sucks. People shouldn't have to avoid Twitter just because some people are asshold enough to tweet spoilers without hashtags!
Yep, this. If you wanna flail about such&such with your twitter friends or whatever, ok, go for it, but use the damn hashtags. It's rude and inconsiderate not to. And like Christa and I were talking about, sure, you can mute people, but then they get replies and you then have to mute those, RTs, etc. It's not really a viable way to mute people altogether, because you end up just needing to mute everybody. That isn't a problem with hashtags.
P.S. A+ to this rant. I hate when people live tweet without hash tags. Drives me NUTS!
