Mirrors, not so much. Although I’d likely be pissed that I broke a mirror, cause that would suck. At the same time I’d probably feel a twinge of apprehension about the whole thing. Ladders, no way. I work in the construction industry, and it’s amazing how many grown men of varying ages refused to walk under those things. We deal with them on a daily basis and they’re all experts at getting around ladders without having to actually ever be under them. When I started my job three years ago, it never bothered me. But after seeing them bend over backwards (unconsciously, mind you, they just do it, and don’t even think about it) to avoid going under the damn things, I make sure I do the same. I figure they have to know something. The black cat thing doesn’t bother me at all, but that’s probably because I have a very black cat that loves to run around me all the time.
Other superstitions? Open umbrellas in buildings bother me. That’s about it!
