[Soul follows Nami with a very uncomfortable look. Sure, the idea of wearing these clothes she was describing wasn't so bad, but he still had to change into them. 1) He didn't want to nosebleed when he was in Nami's form and 2) he didn't want to see Maka naked.]

Hnnn, let's just get it over with.

[And just what Yuber needed right now. One Nami was bad enough, but two of her? One obviously was a fake, but one had to be the real one who needed to feel quite a bit of pain.

So he's going to teleport over where he hears Nami's voice with two swords that are rather long for someone as short as Nu and he will be trying to attack whichever Nami he can get to first. The question is: is that the real Nami or not?]

[One does not expect the Spanish Inquisition your resident demons to be clothes-shopping. She's first through the door and thus the best target; but she's so busy snickering at Soul's expense that she makes no move to dodge. Hard to when you haven't noticed you're under attack.

She does turn to continue into the shop, though-- and there's a split second where her eyes fasten on the blades coming down and the smile freezes on her face.]

[Soul had seen the attack coming before Nami and reacts automatically, reflexes honed from a long time of watching Maka's back. He pushes Nami down with a hand places in between her shoulder-blades and his other arm produces a scythe-blade from the outside of his wrist in a flash of light.

He hadn't realized that he could still transform, doing so was automatic, but damn that was lucky... or not. Just as he moves his bladed arm to block, he fumbles and falls right on top of Nami. He's just not used to having huge breasts in the equation. They throw his balance off.]

[Hey, demons need clothing too. Especially when changed into a body that is a foot shorter.

Once his initial strike is blocked, though, he'll bring around his second blade to try and hit the now prone Namis. Unfortunately, the length of his swords really isn't suited for Nu's height and the sword ends up dragging on the ground as he moves it and that really throws off his precision in the hit.]

[Oh hey, Nu's using swords. Badly. She'll take that as a blessing as her own reflexes start working, and ...work out why that feels so wrong later. For now she's just going to hook an arm around her doppelganger and yank them both out of danger. She'll let go of Soul after that, trying to scrabble to her feet-- though she'll make damn sure Nu knows which Nami she should be targeting, even if the scythe blade didn't give it away.]

That's your version of welcome back, right?

[When he feels Nami grab and start to roll, he goes with it, helping their momentum as best he can. When they stop, he gets to his feet as well and glances at Nami when she talks to the person who just tried to kill them.]

Oi, you know this shorty? [He points at Yuber without looking at him, still looking at Nami.]

[Oh yes, the scythe blade sure gave away which Nami was the right one, but it also gave away that he could attack both of them.

And Yuber will definitely not object to having two Namis to kill. Since he was off with using his swords for now, he'll instead chant a spell quickly that will summon a ball of lightning that will shoot around twelve bolts split between both Namis.

Have fun dodging that you two.

And it likely is becoming more and more obvious who this really is, to the real Nami, at least.]

[WELL LUCKILY NAMI CAN REDIRECT THAT STU-- ... no wait, she can't. Because currently, her weapons have yet to turn up in this stupid place, and the fact that she doesn't try to knock those bolts aside with her usual tricks may be a giveaway of that.

But she did learn extensively from Tsinku and her own sense of this sort of stuff is phenomenal. She's rusty, though. Her hands come up a little too late to be fully effective; two of them just outright miss, and she manages to deflect most of the rest of them away from her, even slightly-- just enough to avoid being struck. The last one does hit, and it hurts-- and Nami vanishes with a small scream backwards into a clothing rack, bringing down half of it on top of her.

Soul, you're on your own with those bolts. Sorry.]

[Soul has no time to make sure Nami is alright, and he grits his teeth, hoping she is. As the bolts come he becomes engulfed in light, and that light shoots up and starts to form into a scythe. He's not sure if this will help, but it's the best he can do.

The bolts hit and send him flying backwards, blade getting lodged in the back wall.]

[Shortly after getting lodged into the wall, he changes back, only now he's in Maka's body again. He slumps down against the wall and puts a hand to his mouth, coughing up some blood. The lighting didn't fry him in that form but there is definitely damage.

Shakily, he starts to stand, looking for Nami and keeping an eye on Yuber.]

Nami?

[And that scream of Nami's, though a small one, was such a delightful sound to this demon.

So Yuber doesn't have to run in this body that is just so damn short and unwieldly in some ways since he's not exactly used to being a female, he's going to teleport to quickly bridge the distance between himself and the rack that fell onto Nami.

And learning from his mistake the last time, he makes sure both swords are raised up when he reappears. And he has them ready to stab Nami, though likely not very well considering the very unsuitable length of them while in this body.] I think this is an appropriate welcome back for you. You can experience death in this place too.

[Well, at least she can join the cool kids club now, and be like every Straw Hat who has been struck by lightning-- though that, she thinks, was getting off light. Either way, she's not entirely unarmed and recovering fast, and Yuber-- that is totally Yuber-- is clearly off balance himself. ...herself. Advantage: get.

Halfway through his welcome home speech, the end of a hastily snapped together quarterstaff drives out of the clothing and into his gut. Take that.]

[Soul's eyes widen when he sees the short girl teleport over to where Nami is. He can't see her from his position by the wall, but he doesn't need to see to know she's about to get hacked by those swords. He sees Nami's quarterstaff hit Yuber in the gut, but is sure it won't be enough.

Immediately, he forces himself to get up and starts to sprint in Yuber's direction, then he jumps, and mid-jump he transforns into a scythe again, spinning blade over staff through the air. His blade is aimed straight at Yuber's chest.]

[Yeah, and that staff does hurt, though nothing like the last time Nami hit him. Still, somewhat off balance, that definitely throws him off.

To prevent himself from losing his swords, he banishes them for the time being and they vanish from sight. That way at least they cannot be stolen while he attempts to keep his balance.

Just as he regains his balance, the scythe is coming in his direction. He grins and then vanishes right as it would have hit the demon in the chest.

He'll reappear behind a rack of clothing and take advantage of his current lack of stature to take some cover for now while he prepares a much more powerful spell than that last one.]

[Just as well Nami was still on the ground-- her attempt to get up is cut short when Soul takes his flying leap, and she drops flat even before Yuber vanishes. Yeah. She's aware of how he operates by now. Soul thuds harmlessly into the wall several feet above her, and she pays him no mind for a second, eyes scanning the room.

Yuber's vanished, and...they're not a threat to him. Not like Zoro was. Which means he's still here. And that can't be good. She reaches up to latch a hand around the haft of ...uh. Her friend... and hauls herself up, before trying to yank him out of the wall.]

We should go. He's got the advantage in here.
