DIR EN GREY CONCERT!

Nov 06, 2008 20:42

Yesterday I went to the Dir en Grey concert in Ft. Lauderdale! It was awesome! I went together with chrissy. We wanted to get there for 5 o'clock, but we ran behind schedule which i'm glad we did. We got there around 6:20ish and the line to get in was't that long. I thought  the concert was suppose to start at 7, but when 7 o'clock came around we were still standing outside. Finally 15min past 7 we started to go in. The place was smaller than i thought it would be. There was three levels. The fist level was the mash pit, i didn't really want to stand in there. Instead we stayed on the second level, which we got a perfect view of the stage. It took another hour of waiting for it to begin. I thought Dir en Grey would be first, but then there was an opening band...The Human Abstract...i think that's what they were called. I was kinda pissed at first because we waited so long and i was expecting Dir en Grey, but they ended up being good, so i cooled down afterwards. After they finished we had to wait another half hour for Dir en Grey to come out because they had to set up the stage for them. It was kinda cool to watch the stage people set up the stage. They tested the instruments and placed fans near where the band members would stand. They also put water bottles out for them. Finally, after all that waiting, they appeared! It was really exciting. The first song they played was obscure, which was great because it was Jazzy's favorite song , so i recorded it all for her =D. (She really wanted to come =/). I tried to get pictures, but most of them turned out blurry because of all the flashing lights on stage...oh well. The battery died out in my camera after three songs. I was kind of mad in the beginning because i wanted to get a lot of pictures, but then i realized i wasn't concentrating on the concert because i was focused on getting good pictures. So when i put the camera away i really got into the concert.! It was really awesome...i think i already said that. They had played three or four songs ididn't know, i thinks it's probably because it was off their new album  that I still haven't gotten my hands on yet. They played a lot of my favorites like, grief, audience KILLER LOOP, saku, merciless cult, clever sleazoid, and some others i can't remember the titles of. They played My favorite, favorite song Koudou! I was so happy...i wish i could have recorded it =/...oh well. When they were going to do their last song, Kyo said, "Last one"...i think those are the only english words he spoke and the only time he spoke to the audience. I found that funny. The last song was really good, i knew the song, but i couldn't think of the title of it...i think it was The IIID Empire. At the end of the song, Kyo left the stage immediately, but the other band members stayed and tossed guitar picks into the mash pit area, and the drumer threw his drum sticks...i kinda wished i was in the mash pit area until one of them threw water on the audience...i was like forget that, lol =D. I bought a shirt and a poster, very expensive, but i was thinking, hmm it's not my money it's my mom's lol, i'm really thankful though =D. THANKS MA! Anyways I really enjoyed myself, but  I really wished steph and Jazzy were there because it would of made the concert even more enjoyable. Hmmm, did i mention that this was my first concert ever?....
