Hm, thats a tough one. You are right, a mature person wouldn't do that. But whats more important is that if someone really cared about you, obviously like you do for them, then they wouldn't ask you to choose. They wouldn't ask you to go through something that hard. They would be more considerate of how you feel. Thats all I can really say. Sorry I'm not more of a help.
