"Gravity plays favorites, I know it cos I saw. Honest to God officer, it's awful..."

Hm, mind you, I'm not sure who it was favoring, except for those who stayed indoors. (See? An actual reason for me not to get up before noon.)
Unfortunately my weather widget failed to mentioned that the outside world was blanketed in ice/black ice this morning. Fortunately I had narrowly decided to wear my padded winter parka over my not-nearly-as-padded pea coat, and fortunately I noticed the ice as soon as I stepped outside and managed to avoid falling until I had crossed the street (don't ask me how I got down the stairs from my apt., I have no idea how), unlike my roommate, as well as Bryce back at his pad, who both apparently found out about the ice the hard way... on the stairs. Oy. So despite my initial concern regarding the fall I did have, particularly in light of my car accident in October that my neck and back are still recovering from, I am hella grateful that I (and no one else) did not crack my head open or careen wildly into traffic (which I was way paranoid about during the walk to the bus).

Ugh. So, I wonder if pouring salt on the ground in front of my feet tomorrow will help? Cos the snow/ice was wicked melty today...
