White X'mas PV

Dec 06, 2008 01:03

The PV was out a long time ago but I hadn't had the time motivation to post about it until today, when I re-watched the PV for the 6th time. And my heart still goes out to Kame & Koki DB

Koki seriously cried when when shooting the PV for one scene!

On the other hand, Golden Santa still continues to creep me out and irritate me (esp during the last scene which he totally ruined) but thank goodness for Ueda's smile & voice that I managed to be rid of santa-nightmares. I say, he seriously suits winter & snowy backdrops + songs.

For those who do not get the PV; the brief story of this whole thing is that the 6 of them are either waiting/about to go to their loved ones to meet them and give them a gift for christmas. Kame & Koki are the ones rejected and the other 4 live happily ever after with their girlfriends. < My summary makes this whole PV seem very plastic now, SO JUST WATCH IT and you need to imagine yourself in this kind of situation to get the 'feeling'. Not much of a drama but this beats the story behind their DUES PV, epic. Their best PV so far BD!

And need we need more proof that Kame is a good actor BD ?

EDIT 01:07am; I just re-watched it for the 7th time and I just have to say again that I'm in love with Ueda's voice for his solo part here <3 And his smile of course. Oh, Junno's new hair is loved too! I think I can watch this PV for, a 100 times.

EDIT #07.12.2008; Erm. Because the PV seems to be really confusing, click below for the explaination.

OKAY. I'll sum up what happened in the PV, going by each member's story. By the way, the golden-invisible-fat-man is supposed to be Santa, uh. Yeah.. And a quarter of my summary below is based on my own assumptions but actually it makes pretty much sense, but of course 3 quarters of them are facts. YAY.

KAME: His character's wating in the park (or whatever that place is) for his date to come meet him and he wants to hand her his present, which he is holding. At 3:49 you see Kame turning in surprise, like the girl came or something. And then you see Santa trying to eat snowflakes (drama guy). But 4:19 shows that the present is still in his hand = girl did not turn up = he got showed up on Christmas Day. Then he leaves the present on the bench and walks away, accepting the end of the relationship with the girl and looks ahead to a better tomorrow. Yes, because Santa appeared to him and he gained courage and spirit or whatever.

JIN: He's hesitating in the car while he's supposed to meet his date outside (poor, freezing girl). Either that or the girl isn't even expecting him to come. The present he's about to give her is a ring > yes, anyone can tell from the size of that box. So this means = about to propose. Then, Jin spots Golden Santa from his window and oogles at him (I would too. I mean, a golden santa?) and gains the courage to go meet the girl, so he takes the ring and gets out of his car. He managed to give the ring to the girl, but honestly, from his expression in the last few scenes, I highly doubt the girl accepted it. But well, the story is that he lived happily ever after with her, direct words from Jin's mouth.

JUNNO: He wants to pass a letter (love letter?) to his girlfriend but looks doubtful about it. So maybe they're not a couple yet? A confession letter, maybe? And then at some point, he too sees Santa and gains the courage too so you see him smiling up at the sky with the letter in his hands.

MARU: He can't decide whether to hand the present to his date or not and is standing out in the cold, looking doubtful (wait, that is his normal look BD). Maru spots Golden Santa too and absorbs courage so he dashes down the stairs to go meet his date.

UEDA: He's waiting for his date at a cafe to give her his present but she does not turn up. He looks out the cafe window and spots Santa (walking up the steps to enter houses, not down the chimney). So he too, gains courage and when the girl still does not show up he goes to her instead. (Game of the day > Spot Ueda's angel smile!)

KOKI: Koki's heartbroken and squatting in the telephone booth = he just got dumped on Christmas day when he even prepared a present for the idiot girl. Koki calls her another time, but of course is rejected again. Santa appears to him so of course the whole courage story again and Koki accepts the fact that he was dumped. (Be strong, Koki!)

Then it ends with a close up of Golden Santa's golden face and his plastic looking Santa suit. Honestly, he probably snuck into K8's dressing room and stole their costumes.

Conclusion: The 4 members (Jin, Junno, Maru & Ueda) lived happily ever after with their girlfriends while Kame & Koki are the ones suffering from a broken heart on Christmas Day. Santa continues to emmit courage & spirit in the virtual world but he's continuing to give the fans creeps. By the way, in case you're interested, he's gotten so famous that he even owns his own livejournal at goldensanta . And sorry, my summary sounds crapshit and it makes me look like I'm hating the piss out of the PV but it's because I just read this and ohmyman. You have no idea how pissed I am.

And for those who don't mind hearing me rant: Yes, although I know about KAT-TUN's going-to-debut in Korea and although I'm a 1000000000000000% fan, I don't really support the idea either. BUT GAWD. When I saw some comments that people wrote, I just *%^#*%^&^^#$%&^($*%^$&. There's no need to compare them to DBSK, because gods'sake, soon the DBSK fans will be coming after KT like, "Don't try to copy DBSK!" or something. And geeeeeesh, it's not even confirmed how their debut is planned. For all you know, maybe it's just an official announcement that their CDs' are going to be sold in Korea, and not like they're gonna sing in Korean or whatever. And although I seriously hope that is what this is all about, even if they're going to sing in Korean, there's no need to make such a fuss. If you have the nerve to tell bands to stay in their own country, then seriously, all you're gonna hear is your local music, not even bands from US or whatever. And then the music industry can commit suicide, die & disappear from Earth cus only local music is accepted by pea-brained people. And neither is it fair to say that all Jpop bands are less talented than Korean bands because yes, although I agree that most of them (JE) can't really sing many genres, but they excel in their individual genres of songs, just that you don't hear it much cus FGS it's a BAND. Furthermore, JE includes Subaru, and Subaru is an EXCELLENT singer, just that K8 does not gain as much exposure as other JE groups. And if you search carefully, you'll find that there are many Jpop bands outside JE that sing excellently too, dumbass.
