Random things about things I've read here and there lately

I finally read Genshiken. It's actually manages to be fun, much to my surprise.

Recently I read Honto Yajuu by Yamamoto Kotetsuko. And I like it beyond belief actually because it's a low-intensity love comedy. I mean, it's not a total masterpiece in plot, but sometimes one just gets tired of tight-strung dramatic angst (even when one is guilty of adding more drama to everything one is in fandom for). It's such a breath of fresh air to read something where the lovers are nice, decent, understanding people who are happy together. There's too many bastard boyfriends around as it is. And too many rapes going around, which I don't really care to stomach (good for drama, but yeesh. I've never manage to bring myself to actually read Sakuragari).

Also, the more I follow Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, the less I like the Nostalgia pair (And I totally refuse to touch Chiaki no Baai, so I have very little idea of what's going on there). It's weird, but I actually like it less now that the Nostalgia pair are halfway through sorting out their problems. Maybe because I somehow got a bunny that put a very strong idea in my head about Ritsu being asexual (which he certainly isn't in canon), and due to what happen with Masamune, also aromantic. But either way... I think it'll be very good if I can see Ritsu punching his boss in the face at least once, damn the subordinate-thing of Japanese work hierarchy.

Right, signing out. Was gonna post a small poem, but a little niggle means that it refuses to finish...
