More bourgeouis oppression
One of the (few) good things at my job is that we now have the opportunity to call ahead and see if service levels are high enough that we don't have to come in. This is because they hired too many people, thinking that the business was going to skyrocket. Now that it hasn't, they're going to lay off 20% of the workforce as of the first of the year (so I've heard). I wouldn't have to work today, but they scheduled me for a "training" class. In other words, I sit in a cold room for two hours learning how one type of rich asshole is different from other types of rich assholes and that my job does not differ either way. God damnit.
