Persephone dress

The dress I've been embroidering for months is done. I named it the Persephone dress, since the the pomegranates and asphodel flowers are symbols of the goddess.

I first wore it to a masquerade at the Powell house in Philadelphia. It was an 18th century event, I went for a 1790s look. I wore it with my hedgehog wig and diamond jewlery from dames a la mode. I wore it again to the pumpkin tea, this time going for an early 1800s look. ( photo from Gloria)
I wore my new garnet diadem and earrings. The fit isn't perfect, I should adjust that before wearing it again. But I'm pretty happy with it.

1790s, regency
