I dyed the the fabric yesterday. I tested it first, and no matter what concentration I used, I could only get bubblegum pink and light baby pink. So I went with the light. And it was too light. You could barely tell it was pink. So today I tried again, with a recipe I found online. This was a mix or red snd orange, dyed over the pink.
This shows the original white at the top, the baby pink , the bubblegum pink ( dry and wet) at the bottom, the coral color I was going for. After going through the wash cycle, the orange faded some, but it's now a warm pink, perfect. I only have around 4 yards, I hope it's enough.
I was also good and finished the hem on the court gown, so that needs to be trimmed now.
