I don't work at Lefty's anymore. It's a good thing. The environment was acidic, plus summers there are slower than molasses in January.
School is super intense right now. I have a twelve page paper due for African American lit(which I've got nine pages done and two books left to read/write about), a mise-en-scene piece for film, and a group presentation in my teaching class all for tomorrow.
My service learning for TED is really not working out. My teacher is never there, or they're testing. I've only gotten three hours out of twenty done and I only have two weeks left to get the rest in. If I come in for three hours a day every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I'll be done but I'm going to be burnt out.
Kappa Delta has been hectic but surprisingly good. We had a visitor from nationals a couple weeks ago. She actually got me excited to plan fall recruitment and I have a ton of great ideas that I can't wait to get started with. Initiation for my first pledge class as VP Membership is this Friday and it feels good to know that I helped to recruit such awesome women. A shitload of people are going alum in May though, and I really need to get a started with plans for a summer pledge class.
I need a tan.
