An Amazon.com Concern

I recently purchased an 8GB Ipod Touch at Amazon.com via a third party seller. I checked my Amazon account today and found out that my order doesn't exist, despite receiving an email confirmation complete with an order number + delivery estimates on the day I purchased the device.

Has anyone experienced anything similar to this? I smell something fishy.
