Hahah. Stressful week! Full of no sleep, and presenting my art to teachers grading me on no sleep. But! Despite my zombielike-status, I walked away with a Distinction. I was very surprised. o.o;
In other news, I saw Against Me! live last sunday. HOLY CRAP. IT WAS AWESOME. I was crushed in a crazy mosh pit! On three hours sleep! And then, that following night I got two hours sleep! And went to school all day! (And dude, my shoulders and back still ache from throwing off crazy drunk guys in the pit. There were so many--and they were all much bigger than me. All that easel painting gave me muscles! I'm hardcore you guys.)
So, the running theme for this week has been... no sleep! Aha!
Okay, now it is time for the art. Lots and lots behind cut.
Preview:
First up--two pieces that have been sitting on my computer for ages. I did them in december. It is april. Clearly, I fail.
Anyway, the first one is what I used for my new LJ layout. Both are done with pen and shinyshiny photoshop. They're both a more comic style.
Next, my mum's birthday present for this sunday, painted with acrylic then scanned in and played with on photoshop. I'll be getting a print of it for her.
I had Installation this term, and omfg I usually hate this subject. But, this time I had so much fun! Anyway, for my installation I did lots and lots of drawing, put them up 3D-like on a wall and THEN DREW ON THE WALL. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. REALLY REALLY. Everytime someone walked past they were like WTF? YOU'RE DRAWING ON THE WALL and I'd do a little shimmy+flail and be all I KNOW, AWESOME, RIGHT? The shimmy+flail happened so often I think my classmates got sick of me. :D
Pictures!:
It actually spanned the halves+corner of two walls, and it also went up onto the ceiling. Unfortunately it was done in a corridor, and I wasn't able to step back far enough to get a decent picture of the entire thing. It's kinda random, and took me two days to complete.
IT'S A MONSTER! (I don't even know guys, I just kept drawing random stuff and it was so much fun!)
Annnnd some detail:
Last up, some digital abstracts. I've done so SO MANY of these. I have like, around 30 on my computer. I just...keep scanning things in and playing in photoshop. These two are my current favourites. In the first one I used pictures of my installation and overlayed painted textures. The second is just scanned in ink splothces that I stuffed around in photoshop with.
THE END. :D
Comments are adored guys. And uh, I have so much more art to share, but after grading I was too lazy to bring it all home It's all at school. XD
